This morning Rosie gave birth to her first pup at 3.10 am and the last at 6.37 am. She has had an amazing eleven pups. Three boys and eight girls. No tricolours, three black and white with the rest Blenheim. I will blog later with more photos. The birth was very calm and very quick, and with a couple pups needing assistance to clear fluid from airways it was not so easy to take many photos during the birth, but I still have a far few. Rosie has taken to being a Mum, like a duck to water. Simple amazing with fingers crossed all rear on well.
We also have been struck by tragedy this week with suddenly losing Smudge on Wednesday and is why lack of blogging as we came into Rosie's birth. I will blog about the passing of Smudge, when I feel up to it.

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Smudge. Especially so soon after losing Millie. You must be devastated. I hope the amazing news of Rosie's eleven puppies is helping you through. Wow, it sounds like she is a super mum already and you too, with clearing the pups' airways. You are both amazing!

Wonderful to hear that the Rosie did so well and she and the pups are safe and sound. So sorry about Smudge, especially so soon after Mille, I hope the new additions will help you all somewhat to heal from this terrible loss.
