We hope to pair these two together, so interesting to see them together, especially their heads. They seem into each other, playing together and often resting together

L to R; Puddin' (our small but perfectly formed pure Working Cocker boy), we have decided to pair with Teagol (Dad, Ernest and Mum, Blottie), as she nears 2 1/2 years old. She is due on heat around the end of April (going by previous heat cycles), but if she comes on much later than that, we may leave her until her next heat, which would be the end of 2020. Very excited at the prospect of what this pairing will produce. We put some netting across in the Winter to stop the dogs wrecking the lawn to the front of the property, but as you can see, it don't stop all of them. Sasha jumps back over with real style, followed closely by the other two, Bertha and Blottie, but I was unable to catch their equally impressive leaps. In slow motion, note how far away from the fence, she makes the landing. And a Happy 6th Birthday "Hello!" from Liza for Harvey, who is Kayla and Flora's litter brother from Reggie and Smudge's litter of six pups born back in 2014 "Hi Jane and Family How are you all? So so sorry I am a little behind on the blog but quickly checked in to see if all is okay. Wow ..so Harvey is 6 today ! I can’t believe it was 6 years ago I collected him from you. You know I say it every time, he is such a super special pooch and is so loved. I sadly lost my mum at the end of last year to Alzheimer’s, and she was so fond of him, the two were inseparable. He was always so sweet and gentle with her. He is still very active, ball obsessed and will walk for miles so I’ve managed to keep his weight in check (14.5KG and trim), I still laugh when I meet other Cavapoo’s as he towers over them and so many people tell me I have a Cockerpoo, they just won’t take no for an answer. I always refer to the gorgeous Smudge being a strong solid mum! I’m dashing out the door so I’m going to keep it short but you all came to mind so I wanted to share some pics for you. All the best Liza and Harvey xx" Another "Happy 6th Birthday" greeting for one of Reggie and Smudge's six pups born in 2014. "Dear Jane,
Do hope you and your family , and the whole Poundlane pack, are keeping well. Just a message on the eve of Foras 6th birthday to thank you for her , send best wishes to her siblings and of course love and gratitude to Smudge and Reggie. Flora is well , enjoying life and keeping us happy. Attached are a couple of pictures from a recent trip to the Cotswolds. Love from Alan and Lucy, and a 100 wags from Flora. xxxx" Happy 6th Birthday greeting have arrived for Kayla and her five siblings. She is from Reggie and Smudge's litter of six pups born in 2014. "Hi Jane
I hope everything is OK with you. I can't believe our gorgeous little pup will be 6 tomorrow. I was looking back at when she was born and her first few weeks playing with her litter mates, on your website! She is such a loved and loving little dog and we wouldn't be without her. I have attached a recent photo. Best wishes Lynne and Family" Archie is from Reggie and Smudge's Nine pups born April 2012 Ralphie is from Casper and Blottie's litter of nine little Blenheim pups born last year. Ralphie started off with the name, "Bruce" and he is A little miracle. He is the pup that got some sort of tummy upset at around three weeks old last year, and I really thought I was going to lose him, but he never give up. "Dear Jane, We've been meaning to write for ages to send you an update for Ralphie. He is such a wonderful companion and so much loved by all of us. He is growing up but still definitely has puppy playfulness! He is bright, bold, active and affectionate. He loves the beach but not really a keen swimmer and he adores racing round the undergrowth in the woods or along the river. We had him castrated at a little over 6 months after he was becoming quite territorial, humping everything and keen to escape the garden. (A good jumper like his mum!) He settled really well afterwards. He will always be on the smaller size but he has lovely proportions and adorable markings. We are so lucky that he travels well and sleeps pretty well too. He is my shadow and adores the children too. He struggled a bit initially being left on his own when I went to work, but he settled with that. He's very bright and knows when im out or just in another room! But just recently he has started doggy day care a couple days a week which he adores (up to 5 other dogs and a big field for him to race round in!) It has given me peace of mind too. He loves sticks over balls, loves training and games and chases cats birds and horses😱 Most of all he is just a super little dog and best friend to us all. Thanks for raising him Jane. Best wishes to you and all the pack. Peg, Alan, Beth and Ralphie. X" Blottie after a good run out, wash off with the hose and dry off. Settles down for her Sunday afternoon nap. Three of our dogs decided, whilst we were digging, trying to sort out an issue of water building up (from the heavy rain we are having) behind our sheds. They would do a bit of digging themselves. Trying to dig up rats that are taking up residency in a bank on our property.
Lottie is from Ernest and Bumble's litter, born March 2018 Bumble and her eight pups at one week old. She was MRI scanned along with Rosie last Autumn and was graded CM 1 and SM 0c. She will also be Doppler ultrasound heart scanned alongside Rosie later this year.

Rosie the lovely Cavalier/Brittany girl we were lucky to find in 2018 Introducing Rosie was MRI scanned last Autumn and graded CM 0 and SM 0c. The best result you can get. She will be Doppler ultrasound heart scanned once she reaches her second birthday.

I sit beside the fire and think of how the world will be when winter comes without a spring that I shall ever see. For still there are so many things that I have never seen: in every wood in every spring there is a different green. I sit beside the fire and think of people long ago, and people who will see a world that I shall never know. But all the while I sit and think of times there were before, I listen for returning feet and voices at the door. (Fellowship of the Ring, Book II, chpt 3)” ― JRR Tolkien Ysobel was put to sleep Friday evening. We have had some sort of stomach upset going through the dogs, effecting six of them, which has now cleared up, but Ysobel with also her rumbling Pancreatitis, it hit her hard, and we felt that letting her gentle slip away by having her euthanised by our vet, was doing her the best service.
She was very loving quirky little thing. A brilliant mother to her litters, and even after retiring from breeding. She was often caught in the act nursing other bitches pups. We have her daughter, Primrose and Granddaughters, Bertha and Sasha. She now lies alongside her old mate, Dolly. A little one for the tight places, and a bit bigger one for the more open spaces.

WE DO NOT EXPORT PUPPIES
Why I don't export AT POUNDLANE
Our breeding dogs are multi generational extensively health tested. With all our breeding stock having recommended and relevant DNA tests for their breed/breeds. We also have breeding stock annually eye examined on the BVA Hereditary Eye Disease Scheme for dogs, MRI scanned on the BVA scheme using the BVA chiari malformation /syringomyelia breeding protocol, and heart examined using The Kennel Club Heart Scheme for Cavalier King Charles breeding protocol |
