Update for Pablo came in a couple weeks ago from Ruth, as he reached four months old. Pablo is from Ernest and Blottie's litter of ten again
I hope you and your family are well. I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Millie.
I thought I’d give you an update on Pablo now he’s reached four months. He has completed his puppy training classes and is doing well with his basic commands; it helps that he is very motivated by food. Pablo’s had a couple of tummy upsets from eating dubious things on walks - I think he has found his calling as a rubbish collector! But his ‘drop’ has got a lot better since I discovered a tasty recipe for tuna fudge. He’s doubled in size since we picked him up and is around 7kg now. He is very sociable and wants to greet every person and dog we meet. He struggles to be on his own, so we are slowly working on getting him comfortable with that, but he’s sleeping through the night now.
Pablo is a lovely chap and is such good company, he always loves a cuddle or a game. He inadvertently took his first swim recently when he mistook an algae-covered stream for grass and leaped in (picture of a soggy, green, unimpressed puppy attached). He has become much calmer with the kids now and comes to comfort them when they are upset. We all love him.
We recently met for a playdate with his sister Laika and then his brother Rory. It was hard to tell if they remembered each other, but they certainly had a lot of fun chasing and wrestling.
All the best for Rosie and her puppies, she looks like she’s doing very well.

“Humans are aware of very little, it seems to me, the artificial brainy side of life, the worries and bills and the mechanisms of jobs, the doltish psychologies we've placed over our lives like a stencil. A dog keeps his life simple and unadorned.” Brad Watson, Last Days of the Dog-Men: Stories
Welcome to this blog. I am Jane, a hobby breeder, situated in North Devon, England, UK (map at bottom of page ,shows where we are) on a quest to breed a healthier small spaniel similar to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
WE DO NOT EXPORT PUPPIES
Why I don't export
Our breeding dogs are multi generational extensively health tested. With all our breeding stock having recommended and relevant DNA tests for their breed/breeds. We also have breeding stock annually eye examined on the BVA Hereditary Eye Disease Scheme for dogs, MRI scanned on the BVA scheme using the BVA chiari malformation /syringomyelia breeding protocol, and heart examined using The Kennel Club Heart Scheme for Cavalier King Charles breeding protocol
