As most know we lost Millie earlier this year and she was exceptionally close to our son Alfie. His birthday the beginning of October and a month before it, he just said (whilst looking at a painting of some of our dogs), "I wouldn't mind a painting of Millie." I thought, I know just the person for that job and contacted Heather who is Munchkinmay. Heather's family have Albey, who is our Ernest's litter sibling from Toby and Treacle's litter. Heather sent me some lovely photos of Albey (below) taken this year (looking so much like his niece Lottie) and also although busy, would try hard to get a painting of Millie done for his birthday. Heather got it done in time for me to give it to Alfie on his birthday. He was very touched by Heather's likeness of Millie. Millie now takes pride of place in his bedroom. You can see Heather's creative process and end result below. Thanks Heather! I have commissioned another painting from Heather. A group painting of our dogs, which she hopes to start for me in the New Year.

How lovely! Heather’s paintings are just amazing. I absolutely love the set she did for me of Harley through his first year. They too have pride of place on my wall. x Your comment will be posted after it is approved.

Four generations of health tested Mums at Poundlane
AT POUNDLANE
Our breeding dogs are multi generational extensively health tested. With all our breeding stock having recommended and relevant DNA tests for their breed/breeds. We also have breeding stock annually eye examined on the BVA Hereditary Eye Disease Scheme for dogs, MRI scanned on the BVA scheme using the BVA chiari malformation /syringomyelia breeding protocol, and heart examined using The Kennel Club Heart Scheme for Cavalier King Charles breeding protocol |
