Lovely update from Emily, for Rory arrived the end of November, as he approached being one year old. Rory is from Ernest and Blottie's litter of ten again. "Hi Jane, I hope you and the family are all doing well. I was so sorry to hear of the difficult year you’ve had, hopefully 2022 will be kinder to you. I wanted to send you an email with an update on how Rory is doing. He is the most gentle, loving, sweet natured little boy. I always get lots of comments on how well behaved he is, and apart from his new habit of running up to dogs as soon as he sees them (complete 180 degrees from his fear of other dogs as a puppy!!), he is a dream. At 6.5kg, he’s also still very petite. He is only slightly bigger than my parent’s Jack Russell, Spike (I have attached a picture of them both below.) Rory has become the best walking buddy. His interest in the world around him is the most wonderful thing to behold. He is stick mad! If there is a stick or pine cone to be found, you can guarantee Rory will pick it up and trot along proudly with it. For really long hikes, he sometimes gets a bit tired, so I have trained him to sit on my shoulders for a rest. I’m trying to come up with some new experiences to challenge him as he grows up. When he is unsure about something, I’ll wait and let him figure something out instead of me just showing him what I’d like him to do. He took a while to work out how to jump across some stepping stones in the Peak District, but on the way back to the car, he ran straight over them! He also had his first ever train trip yesterday. He was a bit wary of the train as it pulled into the station, but as soon as we were on and after some treats and attention from other passengers, he settled really well. Thank you so much for breeding such a lovely well rounded pup! Many thanks and waggy tails, Emily and Rory"
