Received this lovely update for Pepper a couple weeks ago. Pepper is our Polly's litter sibling from Puddin' and Teagol's litter of seven pups. "Hi Jane
I just thought that I would drop you a line to let you know how Pepper is getting on. I love her dearly, she is such fun to have around, despite the mischief that she gets up too. Yesterday I heard a joyful yelp coming from the sitting room and found her inside the underside of the sofa. She liked going under the sofa on her back an chewing at it and had made a hole big enough to get in! I have now stapled netting around the bottom so that she can’t get in, she is most put out. We She is a quick learner, when it suits her, and has learnt to sit and stay for long enough that we can now play a simple hide and seek. Foxy is still her favourite toy so we play hide and seek with that too. The only one we are struggling with at the moment is heel, but a harness rather than a collar has helped here even though we both hate it. She enjoys her walks especially along the coast path and is pretty good at staying within 10 yds of me and will even come back whilest bounding up to say hello to a passer by, she loves Everybody and they love her. The only problem that I am having is that she will not stay asleep in a room if I walk out so I don’t think that she really sleeps as much as she should during the daytime. At the moment she sleeps in a crate in my bedroom, when I can move her downstairs then she might feel more secure in her crate. She has brought a lot of joy to my life, I love her company and it is surprising how made people you meet out walking talk to you when you have a dog especially a beautiful, friendly puppy. I hope that all your building works are all finished and that Blottie is safely in pup. It was lovely to see your video of Polly playing with Billy. Thank you Jane. Best wishes Gilly and Pepper"
