Puddin' and Teagol consummated their relationship last weekend and their last mating together was on Wednesday. So now it's just waiting. Will hope to scan her around 28 days from her last mating to confirm if in pup or not. If our vets are happy to do so, as of yet they are still only doing emergency procedures. I can normally tell by palpation around 28 to 35 days if in pup, but I still prefer to use a scan to be sure before announcing to the public and it also lets me know roughly how many pups to be prepared for when they whelp. If I cannot scan it will be the old fashion method of watching and waiting a bit longer before confirmation of pregnancy.  Puddin' and Teagol today in the kennel, in one of our stables, we use to kennel the girls, when on heat. I do so hope this union is fruitful

Hope all goes to plan. This is a very exciting union. Should be gorgeous pups. I'm really hoping I'll be in a position to have one of your pups in the not too distant future, I love what you're doing to improve health.

Fingers crossed. Such a lovely pairing - I can’t wait to see how the pups turn out with the addition of a cocker into the mix, I bet they’ll be stunning! It’ll be really interesting to see the difference in their face shape too. I’m looking forward to the day where I’ll be in the position to be able to have one of your pups

AT POUNDLANE
Our breeding dogs are multi generational extensively health tested. With all our breeding stock having recommended and relevant DNA tests for their breed/breeds. We also have breeding stock annually eye examined on the BVA Hereditary Eye Disease Scheme for dogs, MRI scanned on the BVA scheme using the BVA chiari malformation /syringomyelia breeding protocol, and heart examined using The Kennel Club Heart Scheme for Cavalier King Charles breeding protocol |
