Greeting and an update before Christmas from Gemma who has Darcey. Darcey is our Polly's litter sibling from Puddin' and Teagol's litter of seven pups. "Hello Jane Slightly belated but we wanted to wish you a very joyous Christmas and safe healthy and happy New Year. Darcey has thoroughly enjoyed Christmas I think as she’s immensely enjoyed the turkey and the tearing up of wrapping paper. A couple of photos attached just for your personal note so you can see how she’s developing. I think she’s a real equal mix of Teagol and Puddin’, (from following the blog and meeting them briefly but I’d ge intrigued as to who you see). I thought you’d like to see her next to Foxy, for length purposes. And the profile pic of her head shape/ nose. I think it’s pretty perfect from my amateur view! I’m wondering how much taller she will get, she looks like she is long legged as well as being long and slinky in the body. Only this week has she filled out a bit more in the body width ways and around the head. She gives us all huge amusement and lots of snuggles- she loves all people- she gets very socialised to a variety of folk in our park including the parks department staff who she recognises now. She is very excited by other dogs but obviously more cautious with them. I met Gilly with Pepper a few weeks ago, we think they recognised something within each other that they were family! Darcey seemed huge (taller) by comparison, however she still looks very petite next to other cocker spaniel puppies for example as they are generally more chunky than Darcey is. Our WhatsApp group is brilliant- we’ve got everyone apart from the humans of Gwyn. We’ve loved messaging with each other as the tips we’ve shared have been so useful and as they are such lively puppies, we’ve been very comforted by the fact we are all going through the same fun daily trials! We hope to all meet up when all this COvid business allows. It’s lovely to see Blottie and her pups. Again they are a testament to your Fairy Dog Mother-ness. I tell D that they are her Aunties and Uncles she can hear in the videos! Anyway that’s enough from me. Best festive wishes to all the Poundlane family. Love from Darcey, Gem and Stu"
