Blottie's ten pups at eight and nine days old

Today we moved Blottie and her ten pups into a bigger area, so Blottie could more easily spend time with them as, with ten pups the whelping box was getting a bit cramped. Their eyes are looking more defined and I would expect anytime now to see them starting to open their eyes and ears. Eyes and ears are closed at birth and start to open around 10 to 14 days old. Eyes will not be able to focus properly though until around 28 days old.

Our wifi stopped working for a few days, so we couldn't view any videos during that time. It's so nice to catch up with Blottie and the puppies again!

They look very happy with their move, and how nice that your children can get more involved with them now.

They look like they’re enjoying their new space. It’s incredible to see how much they have all changed in such a short amount of time already!

Welcome to this blog. I am Jane, a hobby breeder, situated in North Devon, England, UK (map at bottom of page ,shows where we are) on a quest to breed a healthier type Cavalier King Charles(small) type Spaniel.
If you are reading this, you have most probably come from my main website The POUNDLANE spaniel
Problems with putting anymore blogs on that website, I have now started this blog for 2020. Due to Covid 19 Ernest and Blottie's litter will not go ahead as first planned in March 2020, but we hope to go ahead now on Blottie's next heat in October 2020. This couple produced a beautiful litter together Looks like it's ten pups for Blottie the end of 2017.
If you wish to know more, you can ring me, Jane for a chat on 01769 560969
We have also decided to pair Ernest and Blottie's daughter, Teagol with our very smart little Working Cocker spaniel boy, Puddin' in 2020. She is due on heat middle of May 2020 and if we are coming out of retrictions due to Covid 19, we may go ahead with this pairing. Updates can be found on the blog (to your left).
