Very behind on updates. Got this lovely update for Iris the middle of November. Iris is from Ernest and Rosie's litter of eleven puppies.
"Hello Jane
Hope you are all well and fully recovered. Disappointing news about Billy, It has been a difficult year for you. Love the recent photographs of Rosie, Iris is so like her which is lovely.
Where do I start, good and sad news. The sad news is that we had Mable put to sleep a couple of weeks ago. She was a beautiful gentle dog, as she was a rescue we estimate that she would be around 13 years. Happened quickly, she had been unsteady  on her back legs for a while but within a couple of days lost the use completely. Iris has coped well without her, she appeared closer to Mabel than Lily.
On to the good news. Iris is stunning, so much fun, always making us laugh. She loves to cuddle on the sofa  but when she is out the nose is to the ground and she’s off.!!!  She loves being off lead at the woods, sometimes disappears following the scent of something but always comes back to the whistle. We took her to Brancaster beach in Norfolk  recently. It’s a large safe beach. She was in heaven chasing the birds. She’s certainly quick, we kept thinking she’ll stop in a minute, she will turn around in a minute, she’s not coming back is she  which of course she did, looking very pleased with herself.  She had her first holiday in Scotland, travelled very well and settled without a problem. Currently weighs 6.5 kg, she does feel heavier, loves her food. Also loves barking, especially at the tv. She watches it intensely, anything with wildlife is her favourite. It also used to be one of our favourites, not as much now!! That’s a work in progress.
I’ve attached a few photographs from Scotland, Norfolk and Baslow.
Take care, luv from us all x"
