Teagol was tragically taken from us the week before last. Run over by a fire engine on the road below us. Thankfully killed instantly. The poor fireman where she came out on the road, would of not seen her until to late. I am so sorry that this happened to him.
I found her just minutes after it had happened with my children. Nothing prepares you for finding a loved one like that. I pass her grave each day buried beside her Grandmother and Great Grandmother finding it hard to believe she is gone. Hence the time I have taken to come on here and say anything.
Beautiful Teagol, Feisty Teagol, Motherly Teagol. Forever my cover girl Teagol.

I’m so sorry to hear this tragic news. I’ve followed the blog for a while now, Teagol was a beautiful girl and she had a wonderful life with you. I hope the lovely memories you all have with her will give you comfort.

She was such a wonderful dog. One that I actually met and stroked.Flossie’s cousin. One of your beautiful ones.

Oh Jane. I'm so very sorry to hear about Teagol. You and Florrie must be devastated. It's so tragic to think of a young dog losing her life like that, but one of those awful, unforeseeable accidents. I'm relieved to hear that it was instantaneous and she didn't suffer, anyway. Thinking of you all. Xx

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. What an awful accident to experience the tragedy of. I am struggling to find the words, and there probably are none that will really be “right”. Teagol had the best life a dog could have at Poundlane, as all your dogs do. They are clearly so dearly cared for as part of your family. I hope that in time all of the good memories of what a wonderful dog she was will be able to shine through and be the ones you think of most when you remember her.

We are so heart-broken for you all. We met Teagol briefly when we were meeting, and subsequently picking up, our lovely baby Tilly. Those brief encounters left a big impression: such a beautiful dog, with such a big personality. It is comforting to know she is lying with her Great-Nan and Nan. Allow yourselves space to grieve.
