Thanks for this update I received on the 9th April for Poppy and Brimble. Unfortunately, I could not load up the video. Hope all is going well! Poppy and Brimble are from Ernest and Blottie's litter of eleven pups born February 2022. "Hi Jane
Just dropping you a line to let you know we’ve had a great first week. I’ve been really pleased with how well they sleep at night, I thought I’d be more sleep deprived but we get up just once in the night and then it’s back to bed. They’re in the bedroom with me and one the light is out they settle down. They’re not using the cages for sleep but they do like their fluffy donuts and they each have their own personal space. Toilet training goes better on dry sunny days than it does on wet and windy days! They’re not stupid! We’re getting into a routine with sleep/meals/play/training and lots of cuddles in between and they are both happy, inquisitive confident pups. Poppy’s confidence has blossomed and they are a good match for each other. Poppy is the chief mischief maker - she led the way in nibbling twigs, digging the garden and sticking her nose in the froth on my coffee and Coco caught on quickly. No point buying two of the same thing because they both want the same chew or toy at the same time! They’re eating well and they’re responding well to their names and they’ve nailed the ‘sit’ command. They’re learning ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’ now. I’m happy to say they’ve bonded with me and not just each other and I love them dearly. They both love cuddles, Coco most of all. Val & John are at mine most days and both pups give them a lovely welcome greeting. 3 sets of friends are coming this next week so they can meet more people. They had their first visit to the vets last Tuesday and he was very impressed with them. He weighed them and Coco is 4.5k and Poppy 4.2k. We’re back at the vets on Tuesday for their 2nd jabs. Unfortunately they’re both travel sick so I’ll take them out for more short trips once they’re cleared to go out. I think that’s it for now. Here’s a little video that I made today. Val & John reckon that they’ve grown this week. Thank you for letting me have two - they’re an absolute joy! With love from Gail, Coco & Poppy xx"
